How This Site Works
Dynamic sites from tools like Wordpress display posts and articles and other content by generating pages on demand when visited by a user. It pulls the desired data from some sort of storage or database, runs it through some code, and displays it using a set theme and template. This makes updating the site quick and simple, as each piece of content is usually just written text
This is a static site. It still uses templates and layouts and has a separation between presentation and the content being displayed. It does not have simple plugins and plug-and-play themes like a Wordpress site. This archive is designed to appear as snapshots of numerous websites and other sources, each with its own style, theme, and subject. So for every sub-site in this archive, I need to write out the templates and themes myself. And I am no graphic designer, if you couldn't already tell.
Not every page on this archive will be pretty, in fact many are ugly. But that's okay with me. I like to build incrementally. My brain can't spend a single website update focusing on a single sub-site, making it look perfect and writing all content. I must jump around and slowly build up many sub-sites and pages in one update. It's more fun for me.
So if things are not pretty or full of placeholder content, that's just how it's going to be.
